The append feature allows you to link two separate Transcription IDs (TIDs). This will display the appended transcription's content at the bottom of the original transcription. This is useful for instances in which an addendum needs to be linked and/or displayed in the original report.
The following steps will take you through the procedure to append one transcription to another. You can Append reports via 2 methods:
1. From the ‘Actions’ menu – select ‘Append
2. When in edit mode of a report, click the 3 dots (upper right-hand corner) and select ‘Append’.
Please see the following steps below for each method:
Method 1
1. Make note of the Transcription ID of the original transcription that will be the first part of the new appended transcription.
2. Once logged into Inquiry, from the ‘Actions’ menu, click on the down point arrow and select ‘Append’
3. From Append screen under the ‘Actions’ column, you can:
--add notes to the append list by clicking the plus sign next to the note--set the order of the notes to be appended by clicking the up and down arrows next to the note
--click X to remove a note

If you open the original transcription now you will notice at the bottom the message - Appended Transcription - Dictated on Date/Time. The append note will be followed by the appended information that was added.
