How To Read The Physician Turn Around Report

This article will explain the values and units that the columns and rows contain. This report will show a list of transcriptions along with the appointment to dictation turn-around time by physician for a given date range.

Note it is possible to have negative time values if the Appointment date is entered incorrectly, or if the recorder has been configured with an incorrect date and time.

Definitions:

TID: Transcription ID number.

Patient ID: Medical Record Number or MRN.

Patient Name: Patient associated with the Transcription.

Location: The section of the client the Transcription belongs to, if any.

Appointment Date: Date of Service. Note that time value for this column will always be 12:00 AM.

Dictation Date: Date dictated, the time stamp is determined by the InTouch server for telephone dictators, and by the configured time on the recorder for hand held dictation devices.

Hrs to Dict: Difference in time between Date of Service to the Date Dictated. This value is rounded to the closest multiple of 24.

Date Signed: Date and time that the clinician completes the TID from the Preliminary Folder. A value of "Unsigned" will be assigned to TIDs that have not been completed from the Preliminary folder.

Hrs to Sign From Appt: Difference in time between the Date of Service to the Date completed from the Preliminary folder. This value is rounded to the closest multiple of 24.

Hrs to Sign from Dict: Difference in time between the Dictation Date and the time the clinician completes from the Preliminary folder. This value is rounded to hours.

Totals: The totals highlighted in the red box are the average times, rounded to the hour. of their respective columns.
