How To Prevent AutoText From Expanding
This article will discuss how you can type an AutoText word expander into InScribe and not have it expand into the long form. For example, typing "tp" expands into "the patient", but the doctor dictates a word "tp" and you do not want it to expand into the two words. When finished typing the short form, which would normally expand; Instead of hitting the spacebar to expand, use Ctrl + Space. This will suppress the AutoText expansion into the long form and still insert a space afterwards.
This shortcut will work with Modified and Classic shortcut key settings. If you are using ASR-Enhanced shortcuts you will need to press space then Ctrl+Z to undo the word expansion.
