Using The QT Monitor Report

This article will discuss the various columns found in the QT Monitor Report and what they refer to.

This report was created to assist transcription companies to determine the usage of templates (both document and dictation) and find if the number of QT characters that are expected for an MT are what are actually delivered.

Here are explanations of what the columns indicate in this report:

Standard Characters

Delivered = The total number of characters delivered in the report, both standard and QT.

Template = The total number of characters in the template of the delivered document type's template, both standard and QT.

Difference = The amount of additional typing beyond the template both standard and QT.

Original QT Characters

Delivered = The total number of QT characters delivered in the report.

Template = The total number of QT characters in the template of the delivered document type's template.

Difference = The amount of additional QT beyond the template.

Loaded QT Characters

Delivered = The total number of QT characters delivered in the report.

Template = The total number of QT characters in the both the delivered document type's template PLUS any dictation templates used (even if they are deleted prior to delivery).

Difference = The amount of additional QT beyond the document type and dictation templates.

AutoText Characters

AutoText Characters = The total number of AutoText characters that were loaded at some point in the transcription. This is not the number delivered, but rather the number that were expanded at some point in the transcription (they might have been deleted prior to delivery, but would still be counted here).
