How To Mark A TID As STAT In InCommand
This article will discuss the difference between making a Transcription ID (TID) a STAT vs a Prioirty and how to make the changes in InCommand from the Outstanding tab.
In our system, the priority of a job and whether it is marked as STAT are two different things.
Priority - With what priority the MTs will download this work. The lower then number, the higher in their list of work the TID goes.
STAT - A designation that marks a file for a different pay rate and charge listed as a Modifer on the InVison Reports.
As you can see, marking a file as a higher priority does not change the billing/payment rates, and marking a file as STAT does not change the position in the MTs pool. It is only by doing both that will accomplish what an MTSO manager is expecting to happen.
1.) Marking a file as STAT on an individual basis:
If you open a transcription in Outstanding Jobs to view the Dictation Information window, these two options look like this:
If you put a check mark in the STAT checkbox, then it will automatically change the priority to 2. You can then change the priority to another number if it is needed.
HOWEVER, if you change the Priority to 2, it DOES NOT automatically put a check in the STAT checkbox.
So, if you mark a file as STAT from this window, make sure you use the STAT checkbox.
2.) Marking a file(s) STAT in a batch:
You can place checkmarks in one or more files that you would like to change and then use the Modify button to change aspects of the transcription:
If you have not specified a Client in your search:
Then the Modify window looks like this:
As you can see, there is a Priority option here but NO STAT option. This makes this a poor way to mark multiple files STAT.
Instead, make sure you always have a Client selected for your search:
This will cause the Modify window to look like this:
Always search by Client when marking files STAT in batch with the Modify button and make sure to use the STAT pull down menu.
