Out of Memory or File Already in Use Errors

ShadowPrint reports any of the following errors

  • Exception of type 'System.OutOfMemoryException' was thrown
  • The file is in use by another process
  • Insufficient memory to continue the execution of the program

What to do about it

  • First, restart the ShadowPrint service. The errors will not clear up without restarting the service.
  • Set the Spool Limit on the printer to 1 job. To do this, go to Client Maintenance -> Adv. Maint. -> ShadowPrint -> Services -> Edit Printer Setup.
