Users may experience an error with the Shadowlink service throwing an error stating there is a Logon Failure. The details of the logon failure may be one of the following or another specific type of logon failure:
- Logon Failure: The target account name is incorrect.
- Logon failure: the specified account password has expired.
- Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password.
This error can be seen in InCommand on a ShadowLink delivery method via the Services Screen > Delivery Method > Message field. Refer to the KB Article "Checking Status of ShadowLink Services" for specific instruction on where to find this.
To resolve the issue, update the network account credentials used for the service to current and valid account credentials. Refer to the KB Article "Using ShadowLink to Access Network File Systems" for specific instruction.
